Hop Growers of American Hosts Virtual Technical Seminar for Brazilian Craft Beer Sector
The Hop Growers of America (HGA) held two seminars in Brazil, one in Sao Paulo on December 1st and the other in Porto Alegre on December 3rd. The seminars were presented by Steve Dresler, one of the most respected brewmasters in the U.S. and counted with sensorial experiences. All the participants received a kit containing six different types of American beers and hop pellets to experiment during the presentation. Each virtual seminar lasted about three hours and counted with an intensive engagement of the public. These activities are part of the association’s objectives in Brazil to increase awareness of U.S. hops quality among its target audience. In 2021, HGA plans to develop more activities in the country, such as participation in a trade show focused on beer ingredients, give an interview to a specialized magazine, among others.
