The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), through the Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Sao Paulo, provides Brazilian importers with contacts and information from exporters of agro-industrial products from the United States.

USDA supports four State Regional Trade Groups (SRTGs), which are associations that assist U.S. food exporters through trade fairs and trade missions, support for international marketing campaigns and market analyses, as well as promote export opportunities. All promotional activities carried out by the SRTGs are coordinated by the FAS offices in Washington and abroad.

The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) is a non-profit, independent membership organization established in 1995 that represents the global trade interests of U.S. dairy producers, proprietary processors and cooperatives, ingredient suppliers, and export traders. The organization’s primary funder is Dairy Management Inc. through the dairy checkoff program, and it receives support from the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service for export activity. USDEC’s mission is to enhance demand for U.S. dairy products and ingredients by securing access and assisting suppliers to meet market needs that facilitate sales. The organization accomplishes this through research and collaboration with members, government, academia, and related organizations. USDEC provides services to boost the sale of U.S. products, including monitoring the regulatory climate, trade policy, and marketing programs that promote the use of U.S. dairy products.
