USDA Promotes U.S. Food Ingredients at the Nutri Ingredients Summit (NIS)

USDA Promotes U.S. Products in Nutri Ingredients Summit: The Nutri Ingredients Summit (NIS) took place May 30-31 in Sao Paulo, targeting importers and distributors looking for innovative solutions and healthy ingredients. During NIS the ATO promoted U.S. food ingredients and developed new relationships within the food ingredients sector. The event had 3,500 visitors and was supported by important groups, such as the Brazilian Industry Association for Food Ingredients and Additives (ABIAM), Brazilian Food Processors’ Association (ABIA). While the United States has many ingredient suppliers eager to export to Brazil, traditionally the sector has looked to Europe for high-value-added ingredients. The ATO met with approximately 100 players in the industry during the show. The most sought after categories of products were dairy ingredients, alternative proteins, collagens, fibers, and frozen fruits.
